Important Notes
- Turkish uses different levels of formality (formal vs. informal); we will focus on the most common forms first
- Greetings in Turkish are often situational — listen carefully to how native speakers use them at different times of the day
- Turkish is a "subject-drop" language; you will learn how the verb endings help us identify who is speaking
Practice
Practice introducing yourself using your name, age and nationality. Then try having a short conversation with a friend using the greetings and expressions you learned in this lesson.
The more you repeat and use these expressions, the more confident and natural your Turkish conversations will become.
