What is “Turkey Scholarships”?
“Turkey Scholarships” is a fully-funded higher education scholarship program run by the Turkish government for international students.
Why “Turkey Scholarships”?!
Turkey Scholarships provides:
- University and program placement
- Full tuition fee
- Accommodation
- Health insurance
- A 1-year “Turkish Language” course
- Flight tickets to Turkey and a return ticket to your country at the end of your education period
- A monthly stipend of 1000 TL at undergraduate level, 1400 TL at Master’s level and 1800 TL at PhD level per month
Who is eligible to apply for “Turkey Scholarships”?
- Citizens of all countries, except Turkish citizens and those who have lost their Turkish citizenship
- Graduates or those who will graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August 2022), except those who are currently enrolled in programs at Turkish universities at the level of education they will apply for
- Researchers and academics

Application Period
January 10 – February 20
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- ID card or passport
- A photograph taken within the last 1 year
- National exam results (if any)
- Diploma or temporary graduation certificate
- Transcript
- International exam results (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.) if required by the chosen university or program
- International language test results such as TOEFL, DELF if required by the chosen university or program
- A proposal for a research topic and a written example of the research you have carried out (only for PhD applications)
Application Steps:
- Create an account on the Türkiye Scholarships website
- Fill in the Application form and upload all required documents
- List your university choices (by preference)
- Write your personal statement
- Review all your application and submit it to the system
