Registering IMEI on e-devlet

According to the law, you can use a device that you brought from abroad for a maximum of 120 days from the date of your first use without registering it. You can, then, complete registration within 365 days from the date of entry to the country in order to continue to receive service.

Registering a phone using its IMEI can be done online on e-devlet. All you have to do is search for “IMEI Kaydet” and then fill in the form using your details.

The form to be filled is translated below for those who don’t know Turkish:

1 Kişisel Bilgiler (Personal Information)
(You have to choose the first option if you’re applying on your behalf, and the second one if you’re applying for your child(ren).)

2 Cihaz Bilgileri (Device Information)
Kayıt işlemleri, kayıt altına almak istenilen cihazda *#06# tuşlandığında ekranda görünen IMEI numarası/numaraları ile yapılmaktadır. Ayrıca cihazın Menü-Ayarlar-Hakkında vb. bölümlerinde, varsa cihaza ait diğer IMEI numaralarının da edinilerek kayıt işleminin tamamlanması gerekmektedir. Yanlış veya eksik IMEI ile yapılan kayıt işlemlerinin düzeltilmesi, ilgili mevzuat gereği mümkün değildir.
(Registration is done with the IMEI number(s) that appear on the screen when *#06# is dialed on the device to be registered. In addition, other IMEI numbers of the device, if any, must be obtained in the Menu-Settings-About etc. sections of the device and the registration process must be completed. It is not possible to correct the registration transactions made with wrong or missing IMEI in accordance with the relevant legislation.)

Bu alana “Tarih Seç” özelliği ile ya da GG/AA/YYYY biçiminde tarih giriniz.

After that, you will press on “Devam et” which means Continue and then select the bank where you want to pay to. If you don’t have any account in the mentioned banks, select the first option “Maliye Bakanlığı İnternet Vergi Dairesi” and press “Şimdi ödeme yap” which means Pay Now. A link will open and they will ask you to write your “Kimlik No” (ID number), “Ad” (Name), “Soyad” (Surname), “İl” (Province), “Vergi Dairesi” (Tax Administration) and “IMEI”. Then you will press on “Öde” (Pay). Finally, you will fill in your card’s information and proceed.

Notes:

  • If you have registered a device before, you can only register a new one after 3 years from the date of entry to the country. In this context, registered devices will only be able to receive communication service over the lines registered to the identity number of the registered passenger for 3 (three) years.
  • The device identification number (IMEI) subject to the registration process can be seen on the screen when you dial *#06# on your device and press the call, from the Settings/Menu/About etc, or on the packaging or invoice of the device. Moreover;  if the device has more than one IMEI, make sure to register all IMEI numbers of the device during the process.
  • Payment of the fee to the tax offices is done through the banks determined by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance or to the payment institutions integrated into the system of the applicant’s T.R. It must be deposited by specifying the ID number and the IMEI number of the device to be registered.
  • Correction of records made with wrong IMEI number(s) is not possible due to legislation.

    I recently bought a Turkish device for my daughter turkish sim but I still receive btk alert !! What should I do
