الآباء

بعد سنةٍ من عملي في شركاتٍ ومكاتبَ وورشٍ هندسيةٍ مختلفة، أودُّ مشاركة أمرٍ قد لفت انتباهي كثيرًا. معظم الذين عملت معهم كانوا من الرّجال، من أصحاب المكاتب إلى المهندسين إلى جميع العمّال الذين يعملون في الورش، يأتون من خلفيات/ثقافات مختلفة ومستويات اجتماعية مختلفة؛ ومع ذلك، كان هناك شيء واحد مشترك بينهم جميعًا.. وهو أنّهم يعملون بجدّ من أجلِ تأمين حياةٍ جيدةٍ لعائلاتِهم، حياةٍ أفضل من تلك التي عاشوها من قبل. إنّهم يعملون دون توقّف فقط لإعطاء أطفالهم ما فاتهم في طفولتهم. يبذلون الكثير من الجهد، ويضحّون بكلّ شيء لمجرّد رؤية أطفالهم سعداء وراضين عمّا فعلوه، بصفتهم آباء، لهم. لقد استمعتُ إلى بعضِهم يشرح كيف يُهملون احتياجاتِهم الخاصّة من أجلِ تزويدِ أطفالِهم بما يريدون. تأثّرتُ كثيرًا برؤيتهم كيف يكافحون من أجل إراحة أُسَرهم. نحنُ دائمًا ما نعبِّر عن امتناننا لأمّهاتِنا اللائي يعملن بجدٍّ لتربيتِنا، لَكِنَّنَا ننسى غالبًا إظهار حبِّنا وتقديرِنا لآبائِنا، الذين يبذلون قصارى جهدهم لتقديمِ أكثر ما يمكن لراحتنا.

شكرًا لجميع الآباء الذين هم أغلى نعمة في الحياة رغم أننا لا نلاحظها دائمًا. شكرًا لعملِكم الشَّاق ولمثابرتِكم وتضحياتِكم. شكرًا لأبطالِنا الحقيقيين

 بقلمي يمنى توفيق فراشة

After a year of training in different construction companies/offices/sites, I’d like to share something that attracted my attention much. Most of those whom I worked with were men, from office owners to engineers to foremen to all those laborers who worked on site. They come from different backgrounds/cultures and different social levels; nonetheless, they all have 1 thing in common.. They are all working really hard in order to provide their families with a good life, a life that’s better than the one they themselves had lived before. They work non-stop just to give their children what they missed in their childhood. They exert so much effort, they sacrifice everything just to see their children happy and satisfied with what they, as parents, have done to them. I’ve listened to some of them explaining how they neglect their own needs in order to provide their children with what they want. It really touched me much to see how they struggle to comfort their families. We always show gratitude to mothers as they work hard to raise us, but we often forget to show our love & appreciation to our fathers, who try their best to give as much as they can.

Thanks to all fathers who are the most unnoticed and yet most valuable assets in our lives. Thanks for your hard work, perseverance & sacrifices. Thanks to our true heroes.
